March 11th Newswire
March 11th: ROH officials just completed two days of post-production work on the first six weeks of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” at the HDNet studios in Denver. We are very happy with how the series is shaping up thus far, and firmly believe that fans of ROH will be very proud to call the program their own. A heart-felt thank you goes out once again to every fan that came to Philadelphia to create that one-of-a-kind vibe, and we look forward to many more. The next set of tapings will take place on April 9th and 10th. Tickets are now on sale at www.rohwrestling.com. We hope to see you all there in person!
March 11th: Just signed for March 20th in Elizabeth, PA is a singles contest pitting Claudio Castagnoli against Jerry Lynn! Castagnoli is seeing his rivalry with Brent Albright go to the next level, as neither man has seemed to be able to gain the upper hand in several contests between the two, and now, he’ll face the ever-popular veteran of the ROH locker room. Lynn has his sights set on making Nigel McGuinness rue the day he disrespected him, and a victory over Castagnoli will only push him closer to another shot at the ROH World Title! Save 35% off tickets for this big event until Thursday morning.
March 11th: Jimmy Jacobs has submitted a request to the ROH Booking Committee for an Ultimate Endurance match to take place on March 21st in New York as part of ROH’s "7th Anniversary Show". Jacobs, however, has requested that the rules be modified to “properly display the hatred” between the combatants. From what he proposed, this match will still be contested under elimination rules, but with two teams, and with each fall now taking place under different “extreme” rules. We hope to have the stipulations for each fall, as well as the participants, next week in the Newswire!
March 11th: The arrogant Sterling James Keenan impressed ROH officials at the ROH on HDNet television tapings, and will appear in suburban Pittsburgh on March 20th in singles competition.
March 11th: Things will start really taking shape for ROH’s huge double shot debut in Houston on April 3rd and 4th after the events this weekend in Collinsville and Indianapolis. We'll have match announcements for both Houston events in next week's Newswire, as well as the announcement of who has earned an ROH World Championship Match to take place during that weekend. Here is the list of the Ring of Honor talent that will be appearing in Houston: ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness; ROH World Tag Team Champions Kevin Steen & El Generico; Bryan Danielson; Tyler Black; Jerry Lynn; Brent Albright; The American Wolves of Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards with Larry Sweeney; Roderick Strong; Jay Briscoe; Chris Hero; Austin Aries; Jimmy Jacobs; The Necro Butcher; Claudio Castagnoli; Erick Srevens; Rhett Titus; plus more to be announced.
March 11th: Less than 24 hours remain in the "March Madness Sale". In case you missed the announcement, we've upped the ante and you can now save 35% Off your next order at ROHWrestling.com. This sale ends on Thursday morning so don't miss out. Complete sale details along with the discount code can be found here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2338.
March 11th: Prince Nana has finally answered the request by ROH officials to ascertain how it is that he has seemed to resurrect himself from squalor. Nana commented, “What do you know about economic stimulus, you fools! Do you imbeciles not know how Mr. Obama proposes a combined $50 billion to avert looming job cuts in vital industries like my Embassy? I had to stop my operations for many, many, months and assume menial jobs to weather financial storms in this nation. But as anyone with a noodle knows, the world economy follows closely that of the United States – even my beloved Ghana. When Mr. Obama declared $25 billion would be allocated to prevent cuts in health, education, housing, and heating assistance or counterproductive increases in property taxes, tolls or fees at the state and local level, I rejoiced, because now my power will surpass that which has been seen before! My Bison will destroy Danielson, and even my new associate, Mr. Osiris, is now seeing the fruits of his labors!” |

March 12th: On Saturday night we debut in Indianapolis, IN at the Indiana State Fairgrounds (Farm Bureau Building), 1202 E. 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46205. Already announced is: ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness & Austin Aries vs. Jerry Lynn & Tyler Black; Kevin Steen & El Generico vs. Rhett Titus & Kenny King for the World Tag Team Titles; Bryan Danielson vs. Kenny Omega vs. Claudio Castagnoli in a Three Way Match; The American Wolves of Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards with Larry Sweeney vs. Brent Albright & Roderick Strong; Jay Briscoe vs. Chris Hero; plus more. Tickets will be available to purchase at the door on the night of the show.
March 12: Larry Sweeney has been telling people close to him that he’s got two very special opponents in store for Bobby Dempsey, as Dempsey has two contracts leftover from when he was under the representation of Sweeney. The first matchup takes place as part of ROH’s Seventh Anniversary on March 21st in the Hammerstein Ballroom. “That fat slob is going to pay dearly,” said the Super Agent. “Ain’t no doubt about it. There ain’t no doubt at all.” ROH officials are unclear as to when Sweeney plans on making Dempsey live up to the second of the contracts.
March 12: The first names confirmed for the second set of Ring of Honor Wrestling on HDNet tapings are: Roderick Strong, The American Wolves – Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards with Larry Sweeney, MsChif, Tyler Black, The ROH World Tag Team Champions – Kevin Steen and El Generico, and the Dark City Fight Club! The tapings will take place on Thursday, April 9th and Friday, April 10th at the Arena in South Philadelphia. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be a part of history as ROH brings real professional wrestling back to television!
March 12: ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness contacted ROH Officials over what “Nature Boy” Ric Flair had to say in the March 4th Edition of the ROH Videowire at http://www.rohvideos.com/watch?v=r4qD_gxO2YA. McGuinness is reportedly unnerved that Flair has stated publicly that he plans on checking Nigel out closely to find out if he is “the man”. ROH officials have been informed that McGuinness plans on speaking to the legendary Flair face-to-face tomorrow night in Collinsville. Tickets will be available at the door! Will Nigel confront Flair for everyone to see? Be there to find out.
March 12th: You can see this week's version of the ROH Video Wire here: http://www.rohvideos.com/watch?v=jyn7c9r_AbE.
March 12: We have learned more about the modified Ultimate Endurance match that Jimmy Jacobs has requested for March 21st in New York. We have now learned that it is unlike traditional UE matches as Jacobs has proposed a 6-Man Tag Team Elimination contest. Similar to UE, the stipulations will change during the match based on the eliminations. But unlike, UE, we’ve been informed that each fall will determine the stipulation for the next. The result of the first fall will directly impact the next fall, and so on until there is only one man left. If a fall is won via pinfall, then the next fall must be won via some other means. If a fall is won via submission, then the following must be won via something different. It also follows that if a fall is won via count-out, then the next fall must be won via other means, meaning the next fall would then be contested under NO count-out rules. What about disqualifications, you ask? In this contest, there are no disqualifications. Because of the unique rules in this match, ROH officials are calling it a “revolution rules” match. We will have the participants next week in the Newswire!
March 12th: The Buy 3, Get 1 Free Ring of Honor DVD returns at the live events this weekend in Collinsville, IL and Indianapolis, IN. The BIG TEN SALE returns exclusively at ROHWrestling.com featuring over 100 DVD's priced at $10 each. Supercard of Honor IV Coming To Houston
Monday, March 16, 2009
Beginning in 2006, Ring Of Honor has presented the “Supercard of Honor” event as a showcase of its talent, as well as international wrestling talent from across the globe. Whether it be stars from Dragon Gate in crazy 6-man action, Jimmy Jacobs and BJ Whitmer in a bloody cage match, or Nigel and Aries giving it their all for the ROH World Title, the past couple years have presented ROH fans with the best wrestling events of their respective years.
Well now it is official: April 3, 2009 will mark the fourth annual “Supercard of Honor” event as ROH makes in debut in Houston, TX at the George R. Brown Convention Center. And in addition to this announcement, ROH has two huge matches in store for the fans in attendance that night.
In conjunction with Pro Wrestling NOAH and Kensuke Office, Ring of Honor has signed two top shelf matches of international proportions. The first pits the former GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion, Katsuhiko Nakajima against one of the pillars of ROH, Roderick Strong. Fresh off a tour with Pro Wrestling NOAH, Strong is very familiar with Nakajima’s mentor, Kensuke Sasaki, after their brutal battle at “The Tokyo Summit”, and has gone toe to toe with Nakajima as well in their fantastic tag team scrap at “All Star Extravaganza IV”. This contest will be certainly be a hard hitting affair, and worth the price of admission alone. But that’s not all we have…
KENTA, newly crowned GHC Jr. Champion for the 3rd time, will put his title on the line on April 3rd against a man with whom he is very familiar, Davey Richards. The history between these two dates back to 2006 when KENTA took on Richards as a protégé of sorts. They competed as a unit, trained together, and even battling one another at “Fight of the Century” in August of 2006. But after Davey joined the NRC, that relationship abruptly ended. Since then, both men have grown as fighters, have captured titles, and raised their value in the wrestling world. Now they will square off in a GHC Jr. Title bout that will most certainly be a stand-up war of vicious kicks and brutal striking. Also, should KENTA defeat Nigel McGuinness this Saturday in NYC, ROH officials are looking into having this match be contested for both the ROH World Title and the GHC Jr. Title!
In addition to these two bouts, ROH is also bringing some of the best Mexico has to offer in the current NWA World Champion Blue Demon Jr., Alex Koslov, Incognito, and Magno. Tickets are available for April 3rd, as well as the PPV taping on April 4th, right here at www.rohwrestling.com. If you are going to be in Texas that weekend for some wrestling, than you better be at Ring of Honor! |

March 16th Newswire
March 16th: Ring of Honor sends a huge THANK YOU to the great fans in Collinsville and Indianapolis for two excellent events and unbelievable atmosphere! Those in Collinsville got the treat that was seeing the legendary “Nature Boy” Ric Flair strut his way around the ROH ring. Flair will return to ROH on June 12th in Manassas and, just announced this morning, on June 26th in Detroit! Get your tickets now! Indianapolis debuted in a big way, with a wonderful enthusiasm! ROH is happy to return to Collinsville on Friday, October 9th and to Indianapolis on Saturday, October 10th. Tickets are available now at www.rohwrestling.com.
March 16th: As announced in this morning’s main page article at http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2673, two incredible matches have been made official for “Supercard of Honor IV”, taking place on April 3rd as Ring of Honor debuts in Houston! KENTA will defend the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship against his former “protégé” and current Sweet-N-Sour cohort, Davey Richards, and the incredible Katsuhiko Nakajima will face Roderick Strong in singles action! Get your tickets now as ROH comes to the Lone Star State. Tickets are now on sale at www.rohwrestling.com.
March 16th: By many accounts, Claudio Castagnoli cost Brent Albright the ROH World Title last Friday night in suburban St. Louis. As Albright had Nigel McGuinness locked in the crowbar with no escape and Ric Flair looking on, the “Most Money Making Man” attacked Brent and saved the title for his European brother. The “Nature Boy” had seen enough as he leveled Claudio and Nigel with several chops, sending them out of the ring, but that didn’t satisfy Albright, who was livid post-match. “I’ve had enough of Claudio. He’s got all the tools to be a great, but he’s just too big of a piece of (expletive) to do it right. But that all will stop at the Hammerstein. I want Claudio, and I want him in New York.” ROH President Cary Silkin, also present ringside for the Collinsville events, was quick to act; signing it for this Saturday night in New York as part of ROH’s "7th Anniversary Show". It will be Castagnoli vs. Albright in Midtown Manhattan and the stakes between these two have never been higher!
March 16th: Delirious has finally had enough of the AOTF rhetoric as he violently broke free with a bloody embrace of Daizee Haze last Friday in Collinsville. The Lizard Man had been conflicted for some time, and it was the Haze that was able to break through. Delirious fell in his first attempt at one-on-one revenge against Jacobs in Indianapolis, but that hasn’t deterred him in the least. Delirious will be a part of the Revolution Rules War this Saturday night as he’ll team with the Necro Butcher and Tyler Black to battle Jacobs, the mammoth Brodie Lee, and surprisingly, Austin Aries! “My issue with Tyler is only growing,” said Aries. “A-Double enjoyed punching Tyler and other people in the face last time in NYC, so it only makes sense to run it back and do it again.”
March 16th: Word has it that Prince Nana was very pleased with his Bison and what he accomplished over the weekend in Collinsville and Indianapolis. Apparently Nana was not at the side of Bison as he was with his staff of attorneys working on “potential mergers and acquisitions”. Bison lost a count-out decision to Bryan Danielson on Friday night and destroyed Silas Young on Saturday before attacking Danielson again. It took several staff members, security, and wrestlers to separate the two. “My Bison will eliminate the Dragon,” said Nana. “But we will enjoy doing it and we will take our time. First, I will bring my Bison to destroy Pittsburgh! And then, I challenge Bryan to face my Bison in a tag team match Saturday in New York City. I will bring my Bison and a partner for him, and I will not leave New York until we have our victory! Danielson! Bring a partner of your choice, you fool!”
March 16th: ROH officials and the Booking Committee had several conference calls this morning to discuss the Ring of Honor World Championship match to take place as part of ROH’s Houston debut on April 3rd and 4th. Reigning champion, Nigel McGuinness, will defend the title against KENTA this Saturday in New York, and the outcome of that match will be the deciding factor as to which Houston card this championship match will take place on and ROH officials are prepared to shuffle the line-ups should the need arise. ROH officials and the Committee have ruled that based on recent past and by virtue of his pinfall victory over Nigel McGuinness in tag team action last Saturday in Indianapolis; that Jerry Lynn has earned and will receive the title shot during that debut weekend. Tickets are on sale now! March 16th: You can see the latest preview for Ring of Honor Wrestling on HDNet featuring ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness here: http://blip.tv/file/1875895.
March 16th: ROH returns to the great white north on April 17 and 18 to Montreal, Quebec and Markham, Ontario! Currently signed for ROH’s return to Canada are: “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson, ROH World Tag Team Champions – Kevin Steen and El Generico, Austin Aries, the Necro Butcher, “that Young Knockout Kid” Chris Hero, Kenny Omega, Delirious, Rhett Titus and Kenny King, and Bison Smith. More talent and match announcements are forthcoming! Tickets are now on sale for both of these big events. March 16th: The BIG TEN SALE is back exclusively at ROHWrestling.com featuring over 100 DVD's priced at $10 each. You can also purchase general admission tickets for events in Pittsburgh, Houston, Montreal, Toronto, Dayton, & Chicago for only $10 each. We also have a special on 2nd balcony tickets for the "7th Anniversary Show" next weekend in New York City for only $10 each. You can also save 10% off your entire order. For complete details on the sale along with the 10% discount code click here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=860.

Check out a great article on Ring of Honor in the Miami Herald by writer Scott Fishman (http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/wrestling/story/947710.html) Get the word out to all ROH and wrestling fans. Dream Tag Team Match Signed For Houston
Tuesday, March 17, 2009
In 2008, “Take No Prisoners” was highlighted by a breakout performance from Tyler Black as he first defeated three other men to earn a shot at the ROH World Title, and then went on to challenge Nigel McGuinness in one of 2008’s greatest matches. For many fans, it was the night that Tyler Black truly arrived in ROH.
Fast forward one year and the landscape of ROH has changed in some fashion. McGuinness is still the ROH World Champion, but no longer is Tyler Black the young rookie looking to make his name. He is a battle-tested warrior of the ROH ring who has come within a breath of being the champion on several occasions. He is no longer allied with Jimmy Jacobs and the AOTF, rather standing on his own in the face of numerous enemies.
Primary among those: Austin Aries. Their history dates back into 2007 when the AOTF attempted to recruit Aries into their fold, but here in 2009 their positions are very different. Aries has evolved into a despicable, detestable human being who has seemingly made it his life’s purpose to ruin that of Tyler Black. Since “Final Battle 2008” when Aries shocked the world by tentatively aligning with Jimmy Jacobs to destroy Black, the former ROH World Champion has done everything in his power to make Black’s life hell.
Now it has been signed and made official, these two men will do battle in Houston, TX on April 4th for the “Take No Prisoners” PPV taping. But they will not be alone. ROH officials, in conjunction with Pro Wrestling NOAH and Kensuke Office, have taken one of the biggest feuds in Japan and thrown it into the mix as well.
KENTA and Nakajima have spent the last year going to battle with one another, trading the GHC Jr. Title on several occasions, with KENTA currently holding onto the title after a victory on 3/1/09. And now they will continue their battle on American soil, inside the ROH ring, as they team up with two of ROH’s best.
It will be KENTA & Tyler Black taking on Austin Aries & Katsuhiko Nakajima on April 4th at the George R. Brown Center in Houston, TX, and it will be on Pay-Per-View! Tickets are available right here at www.rohwrestling.com for this epic event, as well as the event on April 3rd. The best wrestling in Texas will be coming to you from ROH that weekend; don’t be the one who misses it! |

March 17th Newswire
March 17th: Happy St. Patty’s Day from all of us at Ring of Honor!
March 17th: As seen in this morning’s main page article at http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2683 the first match for “Take No Prisoners” on April 4th in Houston has been signed. It will be a tag match full of rivalry as the team of KENTA and Tyler Black will oppose Katsuhiko Nakajima and Austin Aries! Black wants Aries, Aries wants Black, and KENTA and Nakajima have been at each other for months. It all comes to a head in Houston on April 4th and it happens on Pay-Per-View! Tickets are available now at ROHwrestling.com for this event as well as “Supercard of Honor IV” taking place the night before!
March 17th: Just signed for this Friday in suburban Pittsburgh is Delirious w/Daizee Haze against Pittsburgh native Sterling James Keenan! Delirious seems to be finally back to being himself after toiling with Jimmy Jacobs and the AOTF for far too long. Before he battles under Revolution Rules in New York on Saturday, he looks to get back on the winning track against SJK. Meanwhile Keenan has nothing good to say about the fans. “I know what the so-called fans think,” Keenan quipped. “But a bunch of dorks that hump their keyboards and whine all the time don’t bother me. I’m an international bad ass and I’ll show everyone why this Friday.” Tickets are on sale now for this big event starting at $10 each.
March 17th: Kevin Steen will not appear this Friday in Pittsburgh and is now doubtful for Saturday in New York. He has been performing through a fairly severe ligament strain in his knee, and doctors have advised him to pull off the events until another MRI can be performed to ascertain the current extent of the injury. We will update the situation as we go forward. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes and the ROH Booking Committee will update the "7th Anniversary Show" on Saturday should that become necessary.
March 17th: Newly signed for “Supercard of Honor IV” on April 3rd in Houston are two international encounters. First, AAA superstar Alex Koslov looks to make his ROH debut in a big way as he will challenge “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson in singles action! Can the charismatic Russian become a star in the States? Also signed is a 6-Man-Tag Match with history all over it. Larry Sweeney has put together Eddie Edwards, Chris Hero, and Incognito to face the team of Kevin Steen, Jay Briscoe, and rising lucha star, Magno! Edwards and Steen are in the middle of a war, Hero just defeated Briscoe in Indianapolis, and Incognito and Magno have battled all over the globe! Who wins in this international matchup? The fans!
March 17th: ROH officials are currently in talks to bring some of the unique and exciting stars of IWS back to action when ROH returns to Montreal on April 17th. They did not disappoint last time out, and we’ll have more on this as it develops. Tickets for Montreal on 4/17 and Markham, Ontario on 4/18 are on sale now at www.rohwrestling.com. Just added to both events in Canada: Jimmy Jacobs, Claudio Castagnoli, Roderick Strong, and Tyler Black! More talent and match announcements are forthcoming.
March 17th: Don't forget $10 tickets are available for upcoming events in Pittsburgh, New York, Houston, Montreal, Markham, Dayton, & Chicago. For complete details click here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=860.
March 17th: ROH will tape six more weeks of National Television on April 9th and 10th at The Arena in South Philadelphia! Don’t be left out as anyone in attendance at the first tapings can tell you that the atmosphere was unlike any other Ring of Honor experience. The good times will roll on as ROH creates great memories with HDNet! ROH’s 7th Anniversary Show!
Thursday, March 19, 2009
With Ring of Honor celebrating its 7th anniversary this Saturday in New York City, ROH officials have strived to put together a card loaded with must-see contests. With title bouts, grudge matches, and athletic exhibitions, there is something on this card for everybody. Let’s take a closer look at how we got here:
ROH World Title Match
Nigel McGuinness defends vs. GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion KENTA
It started with Nigel challenging anyone in NOAH to try and take his title, then evading NOAH when their officials tried to set-up a match. So NOAH elected to send their challenger to the United States and challenge for the ROH World Title on one of ROH’s largest stages. Nigel has survived through 37 different defenses with the title intact; including NOAH’s Marufuji, Go Shiozaki, and KENTA himself. Can the arrogant Englishman make it 38? Or will KENTA be the second Japanese wrestler to become ROH World champion?
World Tag Team Title Match- No Disqualification
Kevin Steen & El Generico defends vs. The American Wolves with Larry Sweeney
This issue has been building since “All Star Extravaganza IV” when Davey Richards attacked Steen’s knee and “Final Battle 2008” when they took out Mark Briscoe. Steen & Generico actually tried to save the Briscoes in NYC, and ended up beaten down by the Wolves that night. El Generico’s knee got taken out in Orlando, and the Wolves spent this last weekend attempting to take Steen out of the picture. Now they face off with No DQ’s. Will this help out the notoriously shady team from Sweet & Sour Inc.? Or will it give the champions an opportunity to even the playing field? We’ve seen how far Steen & Generico will go in the past, can the Wolves match that?
Ultimate Endurance- Revolution Rules
Jimmy Jacobs & Austin Aries & Brodie Lee vs. Tyler Black & The Necro Butcher & Delirious (Six man elimination contest with the rules of each falls changing based on the previous elimination)
All six of these men have been intimately tied to The Age of the Fall for quite some time. From founders to foes, Jacobs, Black, and Necro have spent quite some time doing their level best to eliminate each other from ROH. Austin Aries’ change over the last few months has put him side-by-side with a man he hates in order to dispose of one he despises. And Delirious has just recently seen the light, severing ties with Jacobs in bloody fashion just a few days ago. Brodie Lee as the most recent convert to the AOTF has targeted Necro for decimation since he first came to ROH. This war will continue on in NYC under Revolution Rules, which could potentially be no rules at all…
Tag Team Grudge Match
Bryan Danielson & ??? Vs. Bison Smith & ??? With Prince Nana
Since Caged Collision when Bison first made it evident he was targeting Danielson, this grudge has quickly escalated. Danielson has been concussed on multiple occasions from Bison’s vicious powerbomb, he has been brutalized and victimized by the mammoth Smith, but most recently captured a count-out victory in Collinsville. Now, at Nana’s challenge, they will meet in NYC with two unknowns at their side. With no way to plan or prepare for your opponent, both men are venturing into unfamiliar territory. And with Nana’s newly deep pockets, there’s no telling who he could buy to destroy Danielson.
Grudge Match
Brent Albright vs. Claudio Castagnoli
Stemming from a controversial finish at “Motor City Madness 2009”, Claudio and Albright has built into a heated rivalry culminating in Castagnoli costing Albright the ROH World Title in Collinsville this past Friday. What was once a war of words has become so much more very quickly. We’ve seen the brutality both men are capable of in the past, so what can be expected as they step into the ring at the Hammerstein Ballroom?
Special Challenge Match #1
Jerry Lynn vs. Mike Quackenbush
No issues. No grudges or feuds. This is simply a battle of two of the best to see which man is better. Lynn is facing an ROH World Title shot in Houston and a win here would only add to the momentum picked up by defeating Nigel in tag team action. A win for Quackenbush would certainly cement his position in ROH, and establish him as a force to be reckoned with in the future. This one should be a barnburner.
Special Challenge Match #2
Jay Briscoe vs. D Lo Brown
Last time we saw D-Lo he was screwed out of his title opportunity by the underhanded tactics of Nigel McGuinness. Now he wants another shot. But he’s not the only one. Jay Briscoe, on his own for the first time in awhile, has his eyes on the prize as well. He wants to reestablish himself as a dominant force in the singles ranks of ROH in the same manner he and Mark have done in the tag team division. This battle could go a long way towards determining the immediate future of both men.
Tag Team Action
Roderick Strong & Erick Stevens vs. Kenny King & Rhett Titus
From friends to foes and back again, Strong & Stevens have come full circle in their wrestling careers and are now looking to establish themselves as a tag team force in ROH. And with two hard-hitters like this, all other teams must be wary. King & Titus, while fairly new as a team, have gelled quite wonderfully and shown great promise as a unit. Their recent title opportunity, while a loss, has only gone to fuel their desire to become champions. A win for either team will establish the duo as a top contender, and whoever makes it out of NYC with the belts better keep their eyes on them.
Sweeney's Challenge
Bobby Dempsey vs. ??? With Larry Sweeney
Since Caged Collision, ROH has seen a different Bobby Dempsey. He has become confident, competent, and most importantly angry. His recent partnerships with Stevens & Strong and Steen & Generico have fueled the 300-pounder as have his opportunities to exact some revenge on Sweet & Sour. Now Sweeney has pulled an ace out of his sleeve and is forcing Bobby to come into NYC with no idea who he might be facing. Rest assured, who ever Sweeney brings will be on the receiving end of two years of pent-up anger and frustration…
This is a celebration you won't want to miss. The party takes place at the Manhattan Center (Hammerstein Ballroom), 311 West 34th St., New York, NY 10001. Bell time is 7:30 PM. Tickets will be available to purchase at the door on the night of the show!!! |
