I really like the fact that ROH has done a Best of Bryan Danielson-DVD. So, why not do a similar Summer of Punk-DVD? He's a huge star now and most of the matches from that era aren't even available on roh.com right now.
CM Punk vs. Austin Aries vs. Jay Lethal vs. Roderick Strong vs. James Gibson vs. Christopher Daniels vs. James Gibson vs. Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Colt Cabana
What do you think? |

| I think most of the board would advocate Dvds like this. You make a good point that since some of the DVDs are not even in stock people cant even see whole story lines. Thus, a hole exists that could be filled by best of DVDs. Furthermore, the transition to in house DVD production may see some changes from the past at how DVDs are produced and I would like to see restocking of DVDs or the said Best of DVDs. |

i think its a bad idea for two reasons:
1) the Summer of Punk is one of the two most popular series of ROH dvds (the other being the Milestone Series). whenever i talk to people online about ROH they say that even if they don't have a lot of extra money to spend on ROH dvds, either they do have or what they want the most in the Summer of Punk. so why make $140 by getting people to buy seven dvds when you can make $20 by having the same amount of people buy one dvd? its just not smart business.
2) that would be a really really long release. Punk vs. Aries if i recall is between 30 and 45 minutes, maybe longer, and thats not including the angle at the end with Punk turning heel and Christopher Daniels returning. Punk vs. Daniels went to a one hour draw, the four way at Redemption was close to an hour as well, and his match with Cabana is around 45 minutes. so thats well over three hours right there, and thats not including his matches against Lethal, Strong or the singles match with Gibson, or any of the promos which helped cement the storyline's legendary status in ROH.
i think the smartest thing for them to do is start to restock their older dvds (especially the five i’m missing). if they want to do more Best Of's, do some for guys that have gone on to WWE and TNA to get mainstream recognition but don't already have an ROH Best Of (i.e. Alex Shelley, Matt Sydal, Nigel McGuinness) |

| Restocking older DVDs is a difficult business move. ROH already has a HUGE stock of releases, and just added PWG to their stockpile this year. On top of that, they need to do a fairly large run. So if only 50 people want a DVD, ROH stands to lose money on restocking a show. |
