Pardon the weird thread name but if I remember correctly, that's the term used to describe a match in which two men wrestle to a 20 or 60 minute time limit draw. Most times it happens in an Iron Man Match.

ROH hasn't done a 60 min "broadway" match in quite some time (since 8/2006 if I remember correctly) and i'm sure that a number of ROH fans are also fans of that match type. So, my question is, what 60 minute draws would you be most interested in seeing featuring the current roster and why.

Here's mine: Erick Stevens vs Roderick Strong

- Yeah, Yeah, I know Stevens and Strong has been done several times and some people aren't high on Stevens work..but I am and I think another set of matches between the two would work pretty well under a new dynamic. Obviously, we've got Roderick Strong as a face and he's been on a roll for most of the year including coming that close to winning SOTF this year. Well, the opposite can be said for Erick Stevens whose had a totally underwhelming year thus far due to being under booked and overlooked. If it were up to me, i'd bring Stevens back as a heel being managed by another returning figure; Larry Sweeney. Sweeney aligns with him to get back at Roderick for all the embarrasment that he caused for S&S Inc in the past. Stevens attacks Roderick backstage at the HDNet tapings and tells him that "payback's a bitch". After a month or two of fueding, Roderick challenges Erick to an Iron Man match in which they leave it all on the table for 60 minutes.

Here's my second choice: Briscoes vs The Young Bucks - The tag division in ROH has never been stronger. Why not have the two teams with the most popularity battle it out to see who goes on to challenge for the tag belts when Eddie Edwards returns. The Young Bucks are seen as huge spot monkey's by their critics, what better way to silence the critics than by hanging with the top tag team in all of pro wrestling for a full 60.

Weren't you one of the people who talked about how great the Nigel vs Tyler 60 minute draw in Edison back in January was....?

Granted, I know it only went 52 minutes technically due to an error, but its definitely a broadway.

I would like to see Davey v. Aries go broadway simply because there is no way that Aries should go over Davey and this not only keeps Davey strong but makes Aries look like a credible champ for the first time since he won the belt.

Agree'd but Detroit already has a stacked show. That would mean less time for Strong/Hero, Steenerico/Bucks, Nakajima/Omega, Black/Cluadio.

I'll go with Strong/Aries due to their history.

yeah, I can't beleive I forgot about that, especially since I was live for that match. I just watched the match again on dvd for the first time since I saw it live and it's still a great match imo. I loved it.

My problem with sixty minute draws is that most of the time they're being done just because they can. Unlike in the case of Punk-Joe they were done to build Punk up as a contender to the belt. Punk built off each previous match, but in the end Joe was the better man.

In my opinion you have a few viable candidates to a title shot against Aries: Davey Richards, Tyler Black, Kenny Omega, and Roderick Strong. Which is enough contenders to last until this time next year. I'm not saying that a draw needs to happen with the title on the line, but if you draw with someone who isn't the champion, a case could be made that it's as bad as losing in the eyes of the fans.

Omg watching Erick Stevens wrestle for 60 minutes would probably make me suicidal.

LOL, seriously! Not enough Choo-Choo in the world would make me want to see that, not even on fast forward.

Don't you invest in a match to see someone win? So wanting to see a 60 minute draw would defeat the purpose I would think. I want to see The Young Bucks and the Briscoes battle to see who gets the next title shot in a 60 minute draw is what the original post essentially says.

I have to admit, when I saw the title of this thread, I immediately thought "ROH: The Musical!"

Something about the thought of the American Wolves doing something in the vein of West Side Story, all the way down to the finger snapping makes me want to buy a ticket and a DVD or 2.
