For the first time in its 7 year history, Ring of Honor has a 2-Time ROH World Champion in “A Double” Austin Aries. Although the path to get there took an unexpected turn when Tyler Black was inserted into the title match, Aries made good on his promises to make history in NYC. The title match became a three-way elimination after Black used his guaranteed title shot following his controversial loss in the First Blood match with Jimmy Jacobs. Reigning champion Jerry Lynn was the first man eliminated following a God’s Last Gift from Tyler Black, thus guaranteeing a new champion. Then, after Black’s knee gave out from an injury suffered during his earlier match Aries nailed the Brainbuster and secured the victory.

1. The Young Bucks beat Kenny King/Rhett Titus
2. Necro Butcher pinned Jimmy Rave. Following the match, The Embassy assaulted Necro until Colt Cabana chased them off.
3. Roderick Strong submitted Sonjay Dutt
4. FIRST BLOOD MATCH: Jimmy Jacobs beat Tyler Black. Jacobs and Black brawled around the ringside area before the bell rang, and during the course of the brawl Jacobs stabbed Black, drawing blood, and quickly rolled into the ring to officially start the match. As a result of Tyler’s blood, the official was forced to stop the contest. An infuriated Black threw the referee, and, using the title match he was guaranteed, demanded to be placed into the ROH World Title match later that night.
5. FOUR CORNER SURVIVAL: Colt Cabana beat Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, & D-Lo Brown when Colt defeated D-Lo.
6. ROH WORLD TAG TITLE SUBMISSIONS MATCH: The American Wolves beat Kevin Steen/El Generico to retain
7. Jay Briscoe pinned Guido Maritato
8. ROH WORLD TITLE MATCH: Austin Aries beat Tyler Black & Jerry Lynn to become the 12th champion, and first 2-time ROH World champion. Black first eliminated Lynn with God’s Last Gift, Aries then hit Tyler with the Brainbuster after Tyler’s knee gave out on the powerbomb
