We are happy to report that Davis under went extensive rehabilitation, and with the aid of a brace, can now return with full medical clearance. July 22nd: ROH World Champion Austin Aries saw the footage and heard the comments made by Mark and Jay Briscoe on the most recent Videowire, and he was none too happy. “I look at the Briscoes,” said Aries. “Two multi-time World Champions in ROH. One can’t stay healthy, and the other talks too much. Now these guys offer to ‘back up’ Kenny Omega, and frankly, I don’t understand why. Sure, the Briscoes battled King and Titus last TV taping. And sure, Omega has had ‘issues’ in dealing with us. But if Omega thinks this is going to help him get the fans in Toronto a shot at seeing him beating A Double for the ROH Title, he’s mistaken. I was torn on whether or not to give him a shot on Saturday, but if anything, this makes the decision easier. Wait – now I’m unsure again. In fact, I think I’ll wait until Saturday night to let everybody know.”
July 22nd: Just signed for Ring of Honor’s return to Boston and New York on September 25th and 26th: ROH World Champion Austin Aries, ROH World Tag Team Champions the American Wolves – Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards, Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana, Cheech and Cloudy, Kevin Steen, and El Generico! July 20th: Kenny Omega heard what Austin Aries had to say, and he knows that Aries will drag his feet as long as he can before deciding to give Omega a shot at the ROH World Title. Omega also knows that even if Aries retains on Friday night and gives him a chance at the title on Saturday, he won’t do it alone. “Aries will have Titus and King nearby. I’ve already seen how that works; it’s Aries AND his little henchmen you have to deal with. And either way Aries plays it, I’m ready. I’m prepared to take on Aries, King, and Titus because I’ll have backup ready. The ball is in your court, Aries.” ROH officials are still waiting on Austin Aries to decide if he will defend the title against Kenny Omega on night two of DBDVII if he successfully retains on night one. Phone calls to the ROH World Champion went unanswered over the weekend.
July 20th: Claudio Castagnoli has been adamant to ROH officials that his ‘European Rules’ match against Brent Albright on Saturday night will signify an end to Albright. Brent, on the other hand, is ready for war. “I know Claudio thinks he’s got everything stacked against me in this match. But I don’t care, I’m gunning for him and he’s got to think about that every minute of every day. It doesn’t matter what the rules are, Claudio, my very American foot is once again gonna be up your very European ass.”
July 20th: For clarification, the Brent Albright/Claudio Castagnoli “European Rules” match will be contested under the following rules:
- The match is one-fall and will consist of a maximum of ten three minute rounds.
- There will be a 30 second break between rounds.
- There will be a strict ten count should a wrestler be knocked to the mat or floor.
- There will be a strict five count when wrestlers are entangled in the ropes. A wrestler in violation of the count will receive a yellow card.

But having faced him several times, I KNOW I am better. Soon or later, I want KENTA and I want him one-on-one.” ROH officials are in contact with Pro Wrestling NOAH representatives to see what can be done. We’ll update as more information becomes available. To watch the tremendous 6 Man tag from last week’s episode, check out http://www.youtube.com/user/ROHBrazil on Wednesday !
