July 20th: “That Young Knockout Kid” Chris Hero has had a lot to say recently, and now, some of his fervor is directed at KENTA. Last weekend on HDNet, Hero and the American Wolves did battle in a tremendous match against Kevin Steen, El Generico, and KENTA, and things got heated at points between Hero and KENTA. “KENTA is a great wrestler,” said Hero. “There’s no debate there. But having faced him several times, I KNOW I am better. Soon or later, I want KENTA and I want him one-on-one.” ROH officials are in contact with Pro Wrestling NOAH representatives to see what can be done. We’ll update as more information becomes available.
Well Ring of Honor and Pro Wrestling NOAH were quickly able to come to terms in order to make this match happen, and bring it to our fans as soon as possible. So, in conjunction with Pro Wrestling NOAH, ROH is happy to announce that on Saturday night August 15th, as part of our next batch of “ROH on HDNet” TV tapings, KENTA will go one-on-one with Chris Hero!
