But after August 14th these former ROH World Tag Champions will be able to say that as well!
After heated words were exchanged during Colt Cabana’s “Art of Wrestling” in the latest ROH Video Wire and a shoving match ensued, ROH officials have decided to let these four men settle their differences inside the squared circle, and what better setting than as part of our next batch of TV tapings for “ROH on HDNet”.
It’s been since “Rising Above 2008” when these two teams last squared off, and that night Kevin Steen & El Generico retained the ROH World Tag Titles over the brothers from Delaware. And since that time Mark has recovered from a serious knee injury, Jay has fought alongside other partners to become champion again, and Steen & Generico are embroiled in vicious war with The American Wolves. The outcome of this match will have a definite impact on the red hot ROH tag team division, and could very well determine the next challenger for the titles. Steen & Generico have a title shot in their future – with a stipulation of their choice - but a loss to the Briscoes could put Jay & Mark in position to immediately challenge for the belts. And the confidence coming from a victory over the Briscoes may be the necessary boost Steen & Generico need to finally take the belts back from Richards & Edwards.
