Ring of Honor and Pro Wrestling NOAH have come to terms on the second of KENTA’s matches for the next batch of “ROH on HDNet” TV tapings. Already scheduled to go one-on-one with Chris Hero on Saturday night August 15th, KENTA will have an opportunity to take his opponents’ measure the night prior as he and Hero meet in 6-Man tag action.
These two warriors have faced one another in a 6-Man match before where Hero teamed with the ROH World Tag Champions American Wolves and KENTA allied himself with Kevin Steen & El Generico. That night Hero’s team was triumphant, and it is that same unit KENTA and his partners will have to face on August 14th.
But this time the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion will be teaming with a different pair, a pair that has gotten quite familiar with one another on their most recent NOAH tour: Bryan Danielson & Roderick Strong. As part of the NTV cup, Danielson & Strong gained valuable experience as a team, and will bring that to bear in Philadelphia.
All three of these men have faced the wrath of The American Wolves at one time or another; and all three have gone toe-to-toe with Chris Hero in the past. So not only is this an opportunity for some retribution, but a victory here could also catapult the nascent team of Strong & Danielson into title contention in ROH’s red hot tag team division. Obviously it’s also the chance for both Hero and KENTA to break each other down before their singles meeting that Saturday night. Don’t miss out on what is sure to be one of the most hard hitting matches that HDNet has seen, and if you’ve caught any of the previous episodes of “ROH on HDNet”, that is saying quite a lot.
Six man action comes to HDNet as The Wolves & Hero battle KENTA, Danielson, & Strong. Tickets are on sale right here at www.rohwrestling.com for both Friday night 8/14 and Saturday 8/15. With this match, a Cage Match, a tag team Contender’s Match, and KENTA vs. HERO, this weekend of tapings is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet!
