September 15th: As noted yesterday in the Newswire, unfortunate injuries to Tyler Black and Erick Stevens have forced ROH officials to shuffle this weekend’s cards for Dayton and Chicago. The ROH World Tag Team Champions, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards, were first to contact officials. Edwards said that he saw pictures of Erick Stevens’ injured knee and Eddie immediately questioned his toughness. “Looked like a flesh wound to me,” said Edwards. “Something a CHAMPION would fight through. But we’re the Wolves, we fight and we hunt. Stevens’ is damaged goods and that makes him easy prey. Seems pretty straight forward to me. He knew he’d go down, so he’s staying home.” Brent Albright wasn’t happy about Edwards’ comments. “Let me tell you something,” said Brent. “Erick would be there if he could walk. Fact is he can’t. And tell me what’s tough about a supposedly hungry wolf who barks more than he bites? A wolf that always has Hagadorn, Sara, and Davey watching his back. Put your money where your loud ass mouth is, Edwards.” Newly signed for Dayton this Friday is Eddie Edwards versus Brent Albright in singles action!
September 15th: We asked you if you wanted a Ring of Honor VOD service. You answered. We asked you what a reasonable price would be. You answered. Now we want to know if there are any specific events OR matches you MUST HAVE on a Ring of Honor Video-on-Demand service. Give us your thoughts on the official ROH Message Forum, or leave us a message at Facebook (www.facebook.com/ringofhonor), Myspace (www.myspace.com/ringofhonor), or at Twitter (www.twitter.com/rohonhdnet). Let your voice me heard!
September 15th: Also newly signed for Dayton is a very intriguing contest. One could argue that Davey Richards has had the strongest 2009 of anyone on the ROH roster. Claudio Castagnoli, on the other hand, has seen his share of obstacles. While Davey is probably the most intense member of ROH, Claudio is unquestionably the most athletically gifted, and quite frankly, NEITHER man likes the fans. What will happen when Castagnoli and Richards lock horns in Dayton? Can Davey continue his incredible 2009? Could a win by Claudio secure a future tag title shot for the Embassy? Will the fans side with one or the other, or will both competitors be strictly fighting to raise their stock without any support from the ROH faithful? Be there on Friday and find out!
September 15th: Don’t forget that Bret “Hitman” Hart is going to appear on Saturday night in Chicago! Don’t miss your chance to meet a Hall of Famer in living color! Tickets for this special autograph signing are still available, and for more information about the event, please check out http://www.rohwrestling.com/shoponline.asp?point=products&catid=320. And remember, Bryan Danielson will sign autographs on Friday in Dayton, and both he and Nigel McGuinness will be on hand in Chicago to sign at intermission on Saturday. Look for commemorative 8x10 photos of both ROH legends as well at the official “Final Countdown Tour” T-Shirt!
September 15th: Petey Williams had no problem stepping aside for Bryan Danielson to take on ROH World Champion Austin Aries this Saturday in Chicago, and did so out of respect for the American Dragon. Aries has taken Petey’s gesture as an insult. “So the one-trick pony is doing a ‘good deed’ by giving Danielson another shot at A Double,” said Aries. “That’s stupid because I was fully prepared to put the title up against Williams. But now I don’t have to. Now I just have to beat Dragon – again. I beat him in Philly, and I’ll beat him on his way out of Chicago. And Williams, he’s gonna get beat too. By the MV3’s personal protégé, the up-and-comer, “Addicted to Love” Rhett Titus.” It’s Petey against Titus on Saturday in Chicago!
September 15th: With Erick Stevens out of action in Chicago on Saturday, Brent Albright was left without a partner to battle the impressive House of Truth. Brent contacted ROH officials and requested that the scheduled tag team match remain on the card. “I have a partner that is willing to step up. Someone that has something to prove, and this is the perfect chance for him to do it.” Who will team with Albright against the House of Truth? Be there on Saturday and find out!

September 14th: ROH World Champion Austin Aries sent a very stark and devious message to Tyler Black last Friday night in Philadelphia. Black, out of action after complications from his recent neck surgery, was on-hand and took exception to Aries and his “Lucky Lottery”. Black came to the ring to call Aries’ drawing a sham, much like Bryan Danielson did at the August tapings. Aries, uncharacteristically, offered to let Black draw the name from the hat himself. Black pulled the slip of paper, unfolded it, and then to the surprise of no one, revealed the paper to be blank. Just as Tyler started to expose Aries, ‘A Double’ lit the paper and a fireball engulfed Tyler’s upper chest, neck, and face. Referees and medical personnel were quick to respond, and Tyler is now home in Iowa convalescing. As a result of this attack and his neck issues, Tyler Black is now listed as OUT for this weekends events in Dayton, OH and Chicago, IL.
September 14th: The injury bug has also bitten elsewhere as Erick Stevens was injured during a match in Germany, and is now listed as OUT for Dayton and Chicago. He is having his injured knee evaluated this week, and we will have updates going forward as we receive updates on his condition. ROH officials are working to reshuffle the cards for Dayton and Chicago to account for the unfortunate injuries to Erick Stevens and Tyler Black, and we’ll have card updates as the week goes on.
September 14th: The first change for this weekend is a huge one. When the Glory By Honor VIII card was adjusted to allow one more encounter between Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness, ROH World Champion Austin Aries thought he was getting out of having to put the title on the line one last time against the “American Dragon”. But as they say, the karma train always rolls around, and it is rolling straight at A Double. As a result of his fireball attack on Tyler Black in Philadelphia, Danielson was seemingly left without an opponent in his final ROH match in Chicago. Until now. ROH officials spoke with Petey Williams earlier today and he’s agreed to step aside for now. Newly signed for this Saturday night in the Windy City, it will be Austin Aries defending the ROH World Title against Bryan Danielson! Can Dragon walk out of Chicago the ROH World Champion? Did Aries’ fireball plot backfire in a huge way? Get your tickets now!
September 14th: As announced this morning on the ROHWrestling.com main page (http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2980), KENTA is signed and will appear as part of the final ROH on HDNet National Television tapings for 2009 on November 5th and 6th in Philadelphia, and on November 7th when ROH returns to Edison, NJ! Couple this with his already scheduled appearances in suburban Detroit on November 13th and just outside of Toronto on November 14th, and it looks like November might as well be “KENTA Month”! Tickets for all of these events are available right now!
September 14th: The "Triple Savings Sale" continues for less than 24 hours at ROHWrestling.com. The first part of this sale allows you to save 20% Off Your Next Order on the website. The final part of the sale includes reserved seating tickets for all upcoming live events reduced 25% Off their regular price.
