March 17th: "Supercard Of Honor III" on March 29th in Orlando, FL will be the biggest supercard yet. A huge crowd is expected, ROH's hottest rivalries will explode and you will witness the rematch of the "Rising Above" PPV match of the year candidate when Austin Aries challenges Nigel McGuinness for the World Title. The ROH World Tag Team Title contest is now official for March 29th. Davey Richards & Rocky Romero will put the belts on the line against Ruckus & Jigsaw in a bout that will be taped for ROH's 6th PPV. Ruckus & Jigsaw scored two impressive victories last weekend. March 17th: Larry Sweeney has started his hostile takeover of Ring Of Honor. Sweeney has made it clear that he isn't after ROH management or ownership. Sweeney has sent word throughout the locker room that he is signing as many talents as he can to representation contracts. Sweeney then says he will lead these men to the top of ROH and increase their value. He will then sell them to Vince and make a profit for himself and for whoever signs with him. Will Sweeney lead ROH talent out of ROH? So far Adam Pearce, Brent Albright & Shane Hagadorn sold their souls to Sweeney as The Hangmen Three have dissolved into Sweet & Sour Inc. BJ Whitmer refused and as a result is out of ROH and off all upcoming shows after an attack. It is possible that last night was Whitmer's final night in ROH. However, all is not coming up aces for Sweeney. SHIMMER Champion Sara Del Rey has taken a leave of absence from Sweet & Sour Inc. and several members of the ROH locker room have privately expressed disgust to Sweeney's plan. This is going to be something to watch closely as Sweeney brings the business side and politics of sports to try to corrupt ROH.

March 17th: Acclaimed director Darren Aronofsky, Oscar winner Marisa Tomei and actor Mickey Rourke were all at the ROH events in Dover, NJ filming scenes for the upcoming movie "The Wrestler." ROH will be heavily featured in the movie. We'll have much more on "The Wrestler" in the upcoming months.

March 19th: Last week Jimmy Jacobs wrote a blog on his Myspace challenging the Motor City Machine Guns to a tag match on 4/18 in Detroit (you can read it at http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=2505822 on Jacobs' myspace). Now Alex Shelley has responded on his Myspace at http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=189083 in his blog. The match is official. It will be The Age Of The Fall of Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black vs. The Motor City Machine Guns of Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin on 4/18 in Detroit. Jacobs and Shelley have a lot of history and now the next chapter of this career long rivalry will take place on April 18th. We'll have much more on this bout in the upcoming weeks. Nigel McGuinness vs. Austin Aries received every vote for best match, which Dave Meltzer writes is "one of the few times in history every respondent has listed the same match." The final showing of "Rising Above" in primetime on iN DEMAND is this Thursday at 8pm (Eastern). You can catch the PPV today and Saturday on The DISH Network's All Day Ticket. Sweeney then basically stole $1000 right out of Claudio's hand. Castagnoli made his return to ROH last weekend. He tried to get his hands on Sweeney, but Sweeney ran away every time. Now Sweeney will have to face Castagnoli in the ring. It will be a six man elimination match with Castagnoli on one side and Sweeney on the other.
