Ian Riccaboni has been a play-by-play announcer for Ring of Honor since 2014. Riccaboni is a life-long wrestling fan born in professional wrestling hotbed Allentown, PA who used to emulate Tony Schiavone and Gorilla Monsoon when he provided running commentary while playing with his wrestling action figures as a child.

Riccaboni attended New York University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Media and Communications while pursuing his dream of one day calling professional wrestling matches. Riccaboni has served in various broadcast roles before reaching ROH, including on public access broadcasts in Allentown, as a NPR newsreader in Orlando, making appearances on MTV, and as a writer, producer, and correspondent on Phillies Nation TV on Comcast SportsNet. A chance meeting with the Blue Meanie connected Riccaboni to the Monster Factory where he served as their broadcaster before moving to ROH full-time in 2016.

Riccaboni obtained a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and teaches Introduction to Media Relations in Sport at Holy Family University. In 2015, Riccaboni’s “The 100 Greatest Phillies of All Time” reached number one on Amazon’s Baseball chart and was the number one Hot New Release for three weeks. Riccaboni, his wife Sarah, and son Zach live in Glenside, PA where they enjoy going to concerts and attending Sixers games.
